My last day in DC brought two exciting things. The first was a visit to the Juice Joint Cafe. I found this cafe/juice bar near the convention center by using my Yelp app. If I lived around DC, I would definitely come back. They had a wide selection of wraps, salads, sandwiches, and fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Plus, the interior decoration was adorable:
I had a long morning, and by the time I got to the Juice Joint for lunch it was close to 3:30pm. I was very hungry! I got a side salad and apple as well as a jerked chicken wrap:
The jerked chicken wrap was grilled chicked rubbed with jerk spices, mango salsa, lettuce, and tomato wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Yummy!
The second exciting thing to happen involved my trip to the airport. I went to the airport with a group of other Minnesotans who were on my same flight. This was a great decision. Not only were they good company, but they were also Delta Sky Club members. Let me tell you, the club really travels in style. There is a special lounge with free drinks, snacks, coffee, tea, flight updates, internet, phone chargers, and comfortable chairs.
I was very excited throughout the duration of my time in the club lounge. I didn’t take pictures of the food, but I snacked on veggie sticks, crackers, cheese, and popcorn. I also had some tea. I don’t think I will be joining the Sky Club on my own any time soon, but it was sure nice to visit for an afternoon!
